I hate to have to use this an an example of how all dogs, no matter what the breed can hurt and even kill. However with the press always focusing on Pit Bulls I was surprised to see this article about a young Labrador puppy that ended up killing a small child. Stories below.

It`s not the first Lab that has killed and it`s not the first baby killed by a Lab.
In 2000 in Florida(in very similar circumstances-child swing)
A woman placed her 18 day old infant in a mechanical child`s swing.
She left the room for a minute to get a bottle of milk.
(It doesn`t take 1 1/2 hrs for something to happen,it takes a sec)
One of the family pets-a Lab/husky mix bit the child and killed it.

Dogs don't kill babies. The nonchalant parents that leave them unattended do. what your dog does is your responsability!! I have two black labs and they are great with kids, they are just playful. Two thumbs down for people who talk bad about black labs! black labs rule!
